WOODING'S WEBSITE 984 views UK
My name is Penn and I created this website for a number of reasons really. I had a C5/6 quad injury 20 years ago following a swimming pool accident. Some of you may think that life in a wheelchair is a life not worth living. In fact, it's quite the opposite...it doesn't mean you have to sit in your chair and vegetate. There are so many things in life to do and enjoy!. Don't let your disability ruin the rest of your life. Don't look at your wheelchair as if it is a ball and chain, get out there and see what you're capable of, you'll be surprised....

Basically, FishingOnWheels is just a name for this web site, but within that name is also a concept. The concept is a way for quadriplegics of level C5 or lower to have the ability to go fishing using only their physical strength, coordination, and dexterity ? no electronic devices. The concept is for a quadriplegic to be able to cast, hook a fish, and reel one in, all on his or her own.

The 47-year-old, who has won Paralympic gold in wheelchair table tennis and tennis, has set her sights on golf, which she started playing in 2009 after being struck by cervical dystonia – a chronic neck problem. Kalkman was diagnosed with cancer at 14, resulting in the tennis starlet being paralysed from the waist down but it didn’t stop her from fulfilling her dream of becoming a world-class athlete. “I chose to talke up golf ahead of other sports because it has so many interesting sides.”
