SITTING IMAGES website
Following a diving accident while travelling Australia in 1982, I had a quadriplegic C4/5 injury. I was paralysed from the shoulders down and left with no grip in my hands. Unable to pick up my camera, I gave up photography for exactly a year. During that year I realised that I was still seeing pictures, choosing images in my head. The only thing I lacked was the physical ability to use a camera. I realised this was a ridiculous reason for giving up and I wrote to the manufacturer of my camera and asked if they could help with adaptations. To my delight they replied positively and so started the process of taking pictures again.

ADAPTIVE CREATIONS website
Adaptive Creations is a new company dedicated to producing a line of adaptive equipment that will allow the severely disabled to become active in fun and challenging pursuits, no matter the level of injury. The company's initial product is Ken's Power Caster, an innovation that allows for the hands-free casting and retrieval of a fishing line. We are currently working on several spin-off products for playing billiards and flying kites.

PARADOX SPORTS website
Paradox Sports seeks to recognize and foster an individuals potential and strength, defying the assumption that people with a physical disability can't lead a life of excellence. We have all been affected by the challenges facing the disabled personally or through family and friends and, as a result, we have chosen to invest our time in making a difference. Whether we're climbing, paddling, biking, surfing or hiking, the physical challenge in a natural environment brings us together as a tight-knit community with a common vision: the desire to live a life of excellence, to pursue our dreams and reach our goals while helping others reach theirs.

TIM McCALLUM website
In 1999 Tim was one of 18 talented performers who were selected from a pool of over a thousand
applicants into the Musical Theatre course at Perth's prestigious Western Australia Academy of Performing
Arts (WAAPA). However, only days before he was to commence his music theatre course, a swimming accident left him a quadriplegic. Since then, his resilient character and extraordinary spirit have touched the hearts of the arts community, as they have watched him rehabilitate and return to the stage to continue his performing career.
